Katie McMillan

As a daughter of lifelong North Carolina educators, Katie McMillan eagerly followed in her parents’ footsteps with the honor of serving her community through education. Katie has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from East Carolina University and a master’s degree in school administration from North Carolina State University. This path supported her work as a teacher, coach, curriculum coordinator, and principal at the elementary and middle school level for close to 20 years.

Katie is the proud wife of Judson and proud stay-at-home-mom of Grayson and Anna. Her family lives in Cary where they enjoy exploring the outdoors, dance classes, golf, soccer, and reading books. Katie is looking forward to utilizing her professional experience as a K-12 educator and her personal experience as a GRACE mom as a means to best serve the community with the Board of Trustees.
