GCS Re-Enrollment Now Open

We are open for priority re-enrollment! Due to capacity enrollment and lengthy wait pools this year, it is imperative that current GRACE families re-enroll as early as possible to secure an enrollment seat for the 2023-2024 school year. New families applying on December 1 will be considered for available enrollment seats. Your student is known, valued and loved at GRACE and it is our prayer that you will continue to partner with us. Please check your email from our admissions director, Lorna Lodholz, with specific information regarding re-enrollment.

If you have any questions about priority re-enrollment, please reach out to our admissions team at [email protected].

Business Partner Coffee Connection

Join us Friday morning, November 18th, from 8:15 - 9:15 a.m. in the Upper Campus Chapel for our next Business Partner Coffee Connection event --  gathering of like-minded business partners, business professionals, and community leaders who would like to connect, engage, and network. In addition to having time to network with other GRACE business leaders, we have the privilege of hearing from Stephanie Llorente.

Stephanie Llorente is the owner of Restored and Prep Communications. Prep is an award-winning public relations consultancy that uses strategic communications to build, maintain and defend organization reputations. Since 2015, Prep has partnered with businesses to communicate effectively with audiences that matter to them. She is in passionate pursuit of helping moms in the workplace feel connected to like-minded women and supported in their multi-pronged roles through Restored, a faith-based community for working moms.

Register to attend here. Light refreshments will be served!

ERB Assessment Results are in

We are pleased to share with you that we have received the ERB CTP5 assessment results for students who completed our annual fall standardized testing. Individual student reports will be mailed home this week. Students in grades 2 and 3 will receive the Primary Grade Parent Report with subtest achievement levels of Developing, Meets Expectations, and Exceeds Expectations. Grades 4-9 will receive an Individual Subscore Report with a breakdown of scale scores, percentiles, and stanines. An accompanying parent letter will be included with each report that explains how to understand and interpret the data.

The fall assessment of CTP5 is based on instructional skills from the previous grade level including reading, listening, vocabulary, writing, and math. Verbal and quantitative reasoning subtests begin in third grade. A benefit of obtaining assessment data in the fall is for teachers to be able to use the results to develop strategic goals for class groups and differentiate instruction to meet the individual goals and needs of all learners.

Teachers and administration are reviewing the data and we will share more detailed information with you about our growth and progress soon. If you have any questions about your child’s report once you have an opportunity to review it please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or our Academic Dean, Julia Taylor.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes Due Friday + Upcoming Coat Drive

Don't forget to have your student(s) bring in their shoebox for Operation Christmas Child by Friday. On Friday morning at Chapel, students will dedicate and pray over the boxes.

In addition, we will be collecting new and gently used coats, hats, gloves, etc. for WRAL's Coats for the Children Drive after Thanksgiving Break. If you have a gently used item your child has outgrown, make sure to save it. More information to come.

Illness Policy Reminder

We ask for the health and safety of our entire school community that you please keep your child(ren) home when they are not feeling well. Please take a moment to review our Illness Policy. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation.
