Hello

3 Reasons to Work at GRACE Christian

GRACE Christian School (GRACE) is a faith-based private school for children ages kindergarten to grade 12 and is accredited by both the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) as well as Cognia (formerly AdvancED). GRACE holds the highest rating with both of these organizations, and with the prioritization of faith and support for teachers, it is a desirable work opportunity for teachers.

3 Reasons to Work at GRACE Christian

  • We allow faculty to practice their Christian faith.
  • We set teachers up for success.
  • We care about the success and well-being of our students.

We set teachers up for success.

GRACE Christian actively sets teachers up for success with administration and principal support. Our administration works hard to make sure teachers have all the tools and resources needed to focus on educating our students – saving teachers from doing the legwork of running around to find what they need to be well-equipped for success in their classrooms. Additionally, our principals are involved with teachers and understand the challenges they face within academia to better help provide solutions.

New teachers are supported directly by the administration throughout the onboarding process, from Principals and the Academic Dean to the IT Department to their colleagues. All new and returning faculty create annual personalized professional growth plans with individual goals so all teachers continue to grow professionally and maintain a constant growth mindset. Ongoing professional development for all faculty and strong mentor relationships with administrators and fellow teachers are intentional and purposeful to ensure all teachers are supported and encouraged to grow professionally and personally.

Other ways GRACE supports teachers include:

  • First-year cohorts & mentor teachers
    • New teachers also participate in a first-year cohort group for ongoing support and training throughout the year in multiple areas, including teaching from a biblical worldview, content-specific instructional strategies, and best practices. Each new teacher also has a mentor teacher colleague for support and collaboration.
  • Collaboration groups & classroom observations
    • Teachers have a close-knit group for collaboration with their grade levels and departments.
    • Teachers have classroom observations throughout the school year and follow-up to support instruction meetings which are beneficial to the success of teachers.
  • Teacher-Student ratios
    • We take pride in offering a lower teacher-to-student ratio because we believe this aids in the success of both the teachers and students.

We allow faculty to practice their Christian faith.

Built on the foundation that our Triune God is the Creator of all things in existence and that He is the Author of Truth, we know the importance of recognizing God throughout our daily tasks. Our teachers and all faculty are free to practice their faith—a practice that is not openly encouraged in other educational settings. GRACE staff members have a close-knit, supportive community of believers who work together and support each other. Teachers stand together and pray for each other regularly and our staff values the opportunity to integrate faith and learning in a loving, supportive environment!

As the exemplary accreditation designation from ACSI indicates, our faculty and staff pursue excellence in all that we do to serve our families well, and we understand that this only happens through the excellent work done by our teachers in the classrooms.

We care about the success and well-being of our students.

Many teachers decide to begin their professions within the education sector out of a desire to serve the next generation and make a difference. With government regulations, policy changes, and certain curriculum standards, it can seem as though the students' education is lost as the focus point. However, at GRACE we prioritize the health, well-being, and education of our students, fulfilling teachers’ desires to actively contribute to making a difference.

To help each student have a successful start to the school year, it is important for them to know how special they are and valued by our school and we’re eager to see them grow academically, spiritually, and socially in the new year ahead—and this starts with our teachers. Teachers are the ones who are spending the most time with our students and we value how impactful their role is, for without quality teachers we wouldn’t be able to successfully educate the next generation.

Of course, these are just the tip of the iceberg from our perspective, with many other motivating factors to work with us here.
