Amazing GRACE

Priority Re-Enrollment is Now Open!

Priority Re-Enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year for current students, and siblings of current students, has started. Starting December 1st, applications open to the general public. Due to capacity enrollment and lengthy wait pools this school year, it is imperative that our current families re-enroll as early as possible to secure an enrollment seat for the 2021-2022 school year. New families applying beginning on December 1st will be considered for available enrollment seats. Have any questions? Contact our Director of Admission, Mrs. Katie Fowler Day, at [email protected].

Grateful at GRACE

This has been quite a year, hasn't it? While 2020 has presented its share of challenges, we also believe this year has provided us PLENTY of opportunities to express gratitude. So, GRACE family, we want to hear something YOU are grateful for this year. Please tag us on Facebook or Instagram and use the hashtag #gratefulatGRACE.

Holiday Virtual Learning Registration

Registration for December virtual learning registration is now open. Please complete the form at this link in order to register. Additionally, our leadership team has heard from a few families who are considering having their children take advantage of virtual learning the weeks of November 30 through December 4 and/or January 6 through 8 in order to provide a little bit more of a buffer time between holiday travel and a return to campus. For our teachers, it helps us to have this information in advance, so if your family is considering this approach for your children, please complete the form at this link

We are excited to announce that the annual tradition of participating in the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child will continue this year. Biblical Worldview Integration

A few weeks ago, Head of School Eric Bradley sent an email to all GRACE teachers requesting they share an example of how they integrated a biblical worldview into their lessons that week. We thought our GRACE community would enjoy reading some of their responses. We plan to share a few responses a week over the next several weeks.

"During social studies, we are learning about health and safety. On Wednesday, we were talking about rules. Rules in our school, at home, and in our community. As a class, we talked about how God gave us rules in the Old Testament called the 10 Commandments and we now have God's Word to help us follow God's rules. Just like God's Word gives us rules that we must follow, we must also follow the rules in our school, home, and community."
- Lynn Greenfield, first-grade teacher

"We listen to Christian and gospel music during PE. It sparks great conversations and parents' communication back to me is, 'thank you for introducing my child to the WORD in a creative way.' It also provides students with a great amount of diversity because artists are from all over the world and look and sound different, but have a Christ-centered message."
- DeShannon Morris, Upper Campus PE Teacher

"While I'm not a teacher per se, in working with seniors on college application essays I frequently encourage them to use a metaphor as a way of talking about themselves and remind them that Jesus spoke in parables and set the example for us that sometimes it's easier to explain the abstract (the kingdom of God, who I am as a person and what makes me who I am) with the concrete (a pearl of great price, how I am like this thing, or how doing this thing reveals my strengths, etc.) Examples: transformers, strategy games, a bird in a cage, characters in a book, ingredients in a recipe."
- Cathy Cole, Director of College Counseling
